History: The Oregon School District and Oregon High School are proud to present Armada Winterguard! Armada Winterguard is an integral part of the visionary Oregon Marching and Athletic Arts Program (OMAAP). This is the guard’s second year and we are proud to be a part of the MidWest Color Guard Circuit. OMAAP is a comprehensive athletic arts program that blossomed out of our 34 year tradition of excellence in summer marching band through the Mid-America Competing Band Directors Association (www.macbda.org). OMAAP programs include Armada Winterguard, Armada Cadets Middle School Marching Band, Shadow Indoor Percussion and of course our flagship, the Shadow Armada – a high school summer field show marching band. Soon to be added to OMAAP is a fall athletic band, Panther Pep. OMAAP is sponsored by plusonedrill.com and MarchingTVChannel.com

Past Achievements: In the 2007 season, Armada Winterguard achieved four First Place ratings in MWCGC before finally scoring a 91.3 on the Regional A Class sheets and being promoted to SAA Class. In 2007, our affiliate, the Shadow Armada Marching Band, enjoyed success throughout our summer season, culminating in a Second Place finish at the MACBDA Championships in July. Our percussion section, many of whom are involved with Shadow Indoor Percussion, enjoyed an undefeated record during the same 2007 season.
