Guard Director, Instructor positions available:  (updated 2/3/12)

Oregon Marching and Athletic Arts Program, Oregon, WI  (posted 2/3/12)
The Oregon Marching and Athletic Arts Program in Oregon, Wisconsin, is looking for dedicated, hardworking, innovative individuals to join our teaching staff in the Colorguard caption.

We have openings for Colorguard Coordinator and two Colorguard Specialists / Technicians.

In MWCGC and WGI, our program is represented by Armada Winterguard (Cadet, IRA, and IA classes) and Shadow Indoor Percussion. In the summer our flagship ensemble takes the field. Shadow Armada, formerly the Oregon High School Summer Marching Band, has been competing in the MACBDA summer circuit since 1972 and continues to push high school marching arts in Wisconsin today. Much like drum corps, Shadow Armada rehearses long days, travels all over the country (and Canada), and performs field shows for thousands each year. Think of it as "drum corps lite," actually; we go as hard as the corps but our season only runs from June 11th to July 16th this year.

Now YOU have an opportunity to join this unique and amazing group of students, parents, and staff on the field in 2012. Pay is extremely competitive and the experience is unmatched. Excellent performance in the 2012 season could lead to a more permanent arrangement, if desired, and possibly a spot on our winter staff as well.

Not sure if teaching our group is for you? Check out a couple videos to see what we're all about:
Shadow Armada 2011 - Looking Up Amid Storms (Calgary, AB)
Shadow Armada 2011 Retrospective

You can also search Shadow Armada on YouTube - plenty on there as well.

Hope to hear from you SOON! For more information or inquiries please contact
Nick Lane, Director, Oregon High School Bands and Executive Director, Oregon Marching and Athletic Arts at nel@oregonsd.org or 608.692.0525.
